These regulations may be cited as the
Ombudsman Regulations 2020 .
In accordance with paragraph (e) of the definition of
agency to which this Act applies in section 3(1) of theOmbudsman Act 1972 , each of the following is declared to be an agency for the purposes of the Act:
(a) a joint planning board established under the
Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 ;(b) a subsidiary of a joint planning board established under the
Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 .
Schedule 1—Savings and transitional provisions (Schedule 1 clause 76 of Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (CPIPC Recommendations) Amendment Act 2021 )
1—Application of laws to continuing complaints etc
(1) The
Ombudsman Act 1972 as in force before the commencement of Schedule 1 of theIndependent Commissioner Against Corruption (CPIPC Recommendations) Amendment Act 2021 continues to apply in connection with—
(a) any complaint, report or investigation referred to in clause 70 of that Schedule; and
(b) a complaint made on or before 25 August 2021 under any of the integrity Acts.
(2) In this clause—
integrity Acts means each of the following:
(a)
Judicial Conduct Commissioner Act 2015 ;(b)
Ombudsman Act 1972 ;(c)
Police Complaints and Discipline Act 2016 .
