Act No. 172, 1987

An Act to amend the Ombudsman Act 1974 so as to remove certain restrictions on the investigation of conduct of members of the Police Force. [Assented to 26 November 1987]

The Lefjislature of New South Wales enacts:

Short title

1.     This Act mav be cited as the Ombudsman (Further Amendment) Act

1987.   '

Comniencement

2.     This Act shall commence on the date of assent to this Act.

Amendment of Act No. 68, 1974

3. The Ombudsman Act 1974 is amended—

(a) by inserting “or" at the end of section 10 (2) (b);

(b) by omitting section lO (2) (e) and the preceding “or”;

(c) by omitting section 32 (5).
