1Name of Regulations

 These Regulations are the Ombudsman Amendment Regulations 1999 (No. 1).

2Commencement

These Regulations commence on the date on which section 55J of the Judiciary Act 1903 commences.

3Amendment of Ombudsman Regulations

 Schedule 1 amends the Ombudsman Regulations.

4Application

 The amendments made by items 2 and 3 of Schedule 1 apply in relation to a complaint made to the Ombudsman with respect to action taken by a Department or by a prescribed authority on or after the commencement of these Regulations.
