11 QlteellslallN ANNO DUODECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 6 of 1963 An Act to Amend " The Officials in Parliament Acts, 1896 to 1961 ," in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 23RD SEPTEMBER, 1963] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title . This Act may be cited as "The Officials in Parliament Acts Amendment Act of 1963." (2) Principal Act. " The Officials in Parliament Acts, 1896 to 1961," are in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) Collective Title. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as " The Officials in Parliament Acts, 1896 to 1963,"

The Principal Act as amended by this Act applies as well to this present Legislative Assembly as to every Legislative Assembly hereafter to be summoned and chosen. 3. Amendment of s. 3 (1). Subsection (1) of section three of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the word " eleven " and inserting in its stead the word " thirteen ". 4. Amendment of s. 6 . Section six of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in paragraph (a) of subsection (2) omitting the words " The Premier and Chief Secretary of Queensland " and inserting in their stead the words " The Officer who is recognised as the Premier of Queensland "; (b) in paragraph (b) of subsection (2) omitting the words " and Chief Secretary "; and (c) in subsection (3) omitting the words " the office of Premier and Chief Secretary of Queensland or in the office of the Officer recognised as the Deputy for the Premier and Chief Secretary of Queensland " and inserting in their stead the words " the office of the Officer recognised as the Premier of Queensland or in the office of the Officer recognised as the Deputy for the Premier of Queensland ".
