[ASSENTED TO 13TH DECEMBER, 1945.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as " The Officers' Salaries Act of 1945." Amendment 2. (1.) Amendment (2.) Section two of t" The Audit Acts Amendment of s. 2 of Act of 1926" is repealed and the following section is Wo~ : .o. v, ' inserted in lieu thereof:- Salary of ~~ ~!: ~ t "[2.] The Auditor-General during his continuance in office shall receive, and it is hereby declared always was, on and from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, entitled to receive, a salary at the rate of one thousand six hundred and fifty pounds per annum, and such salary shall be a charge and is hereby declared always was a charge, as from such last- mentioned date, upon and be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue, which is hereby appropriated accordingly." * 38 V. Section six of *" The Public Service Acts, 1922 to 1924," is repealed and the following section is inserted in lieu thereof, namely:- "[6.] (1.) On and from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, there shall be payable to the Commissioner, as remuneration for his services, such annual salary not exceeding one thousand six hundred and fifty pounds as the Governor in Council may determine. (2.) Such salary shall be a charge, and is hereby declared always was a charge, as from such lastmentioned date, upon and be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue, which is hereby appropriated accordingly." Salary of Commis. sioner in office. (ii.)
