AN ACT to amend the Occupational Therapists
Act, 1957.
[Assented to 3rd October, 1963.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title
| and citation. | 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Occupational |
Therapists Act Amendment Act, 1963.
| (2) | In this Act the Occupational Therapists Act, |
1957, is referred to as the principal Act.
(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Occupational Therapists Act,
1957-1963.

| 2. | Section eight of the principal Act is amended | amended. |
by adding after subsection (1) a subsection as
follows:
(la) A person who has not attained the age of twenty-one years, who proves to the satis- faction of the Board the matters referred to in paragraph (b) and subparagraph (i) of paragraph (c) of subsection (1) of this section, is entitled, subject to the provisions of this Act and of the rules, to be registered as an occupational therapist. .
3. The principal Act is amended by adding after Uile'd.
section eight a section as follows:—

| (2) An occupational therapist who contra- venes this section commits an offence against this Act and is liable, in addition to any penalty that he may incur under section ten of this Act for that offence, to have his name removed from the register at the discretion of the Board. | |
| (3) Nothing in this section prevents an occupational therapist who has not attained the age of twenty-one years from being employed as an occupational therapist by any person approved by the Board other than an occupational therapist who has not attained the age of twenty-one years. . |
