(Amendment) Regulations 2001

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the
Occupational Health and Safety (Plant)
Regulations 1995 to incorporate Australian
Standard "AS 4343 Pressure Equipment—Hazard

Levels".

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 59 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1985.

3. Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 15 June

2001.

4. Principal Regulations

Occupational Health and Safety (Plant) (Amendment)

Regulations 2001

In these Regulations, the Occupational Health and
Safety (Plant) Regulations 19951 are called the

Principal Regulations.

5. New Hazard Standards

(1) In regulation 105(1) of the Principal

Regulations—

(a)

Part 1, Pressure Equipment Manufacture—
Assurance of Product Quality" substitute

in the definition of "boiler" for "AS 3920 Levels"; and

(b)

"AS 3920 Part 1, Pressure Equipment
Manufacture—Assurance of Product

in the definition of "pressure piping" for Equipment—Hazard Levels"; and

(c)

"AS 3920 Part 1, Pressure Equipment
Manufacture—Assurance of Product

in the definition of "pressure vessel" for Equipment—Hazard Levels".

(2) In Schedule 2 of the Principal Regulations, for

"AS 3920—Part 1, Pressure Equipment
Manufacture—Assurance of Product Quality"
(wherever occurring) substitute "AS 4343,

Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels".
