(AMENDMENT) ACT 1994 No. 5—PROCLAMATION

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation (Amendment) Act 1994, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 October

1994 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act

commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation (Amendment) Act 1994 (the amending Act). These relate principally to the appointment and functions of certain inspectors in relation to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1983, the Construction Safety Act 1912, the Factories, Shops and Industries Act 1962 and the Dangerous Goods Act 1975.

The other provisions of the amending Act commenced on 1 August 1994.
