I, KEVIN JAMES ANDREWS, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, make this Notice under subsection 9(5) of the Occupational Health and Safety (Commonwealth Employment) Act 1991.

1. Name of Notice

This Notice is the Occupational Health and Safety (Definition of Employee) Notice 2006 (2).

1. Commencement

This Notice commences on registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments (FRLI).

1. Declaration

For subsection 9(5) of the Occupational Health and Safety (Commonwealth Employment) Act 1991, I declare that the class of persons mentioned in Column 2 of the Schedule are employees of the Australian Institute of Marine Science for the purposes of the acts mentioned in Column 3 of the Schedule.

Note     The persons are engaged in activities or perform acts at the request or direction, or for the benefit, of a Commonwealth authority.
