Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Occupational Health and Safety Amendment Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 8 December 1999 as the day on which so much of Schedule 2.3 [7] of that Act as omits sections 10–13 of the Factories, Shops and Industries Act 1962 commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence so much of Schedule 2.3 [7] to the Occupational Health and Safety Amendment Act 1997 as omits sections 10–13 of the Factories, Shops and Industries Act 1962. Those sections deal with the registration of factories, the notification of defects in factories, the approval of the erection of, and of alterations and additions to, factories, and definitions for the purposes of those sections.
