Occupational Health and Safety (Pest New South Wales

Control) Amendment Regulation 1999

Occupational Health and Safety Act 1983

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1983.

Explanatory note
The objects of this Regulation are:

(a)	to repeal the requirement for a person who carries on the business of a pest controller to hold a certificate of registration in respect of that business, and
(b)	to repeal ancillary provisions relating to such matters as applications for certificates of registration, determination and refusal of applications, duration, renewal, conditions, cancellation, suspension and production of certificates of registration, and display of registration numbers, and
(c)	to make other minor and ancillary amendments and amendments by way of statute law revision.

This Regulation is made under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1983, including section 45 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Occupational Health and Safety (Pest

Control) Amendment Regulation 1999.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 8 December 1999.

3 Amendment of Occupational Health and Safety (Pest Control) Regulation 1988

The Occupational Health and Safety (Pest Control) Regulation

1988 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.
