263 (I^ueen9[atti ANNO VICESIMO TERTIO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 23 of 1974 An Act to amend The Oaths Act Amendment Act of 1891 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 24TH APRIL, 1974] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Oaths Act Amendment Act 1974. (2) The Oaths Act Amendment Act of 1891 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may he cited as the Oaths Act Amendment Act 1891-1974.
264 Oaths Act Amendment Act 1974, No. 23 2. Repeal of and new s . 3. The Principal Act is amended by repealing section 3 and substituting the following section:- " 3. Justices and other persons may take affidavits . An affidavit may hereafter be sworn before a justice of the peace, or a barrister or solicitor of the Supreme Court, and all such persons are hereby authorized and empowered to take affidavits without a commission being issued for that purpose.".
