Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Nursing Homes Act 1988.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Nursing Homes Regulation 1996:
| (a) | to increase the annual licence fee and the fees for an application for a licence or an application to transfer a licence, and |
| (b) | to require information in respect of nursing staff at a nursing home to be provided with the annual licence fee, and |
| (c) | to update the requirements in relation to hot and warm water systems at nursing homes so that the requirements are consistent with the requirements under the Public Health Act 1991 for those systems. |
This Regulation is made under the Nursing Homes Act 1988, including section 52
(the general regulation-making power).

This Regulation is the Nursing Homes Amendment (Fees and Other
Matters) Regulation 2001.Amendment of Nursing Homes Regulation 1996
The Nursing Homes Regulation 1996 is amended as set out in
Schedule 1.

Omit “$615” from clause 6 (b). Insert instead “$655”.

Omit the Table to the clause. Insert instead:

(c) information in the approved form in respect of the nursing staff at the nursing home.
Schedule 1 Licensing standards
Omit clause 3 (2) of Schedule 1. Insert instead:
(2) Any hot or warm water system supplying those areas of a nursing home that are used by residents for accommodation, ablutions, recreation or dining must be a system that has been installed in accordance with the prescribed installation requirements under section 45 of the Public Health Act 1991.
