487 ( itunslaxtttc ANNO VICESIMO OCTAVO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 49 of 1979 An Act to. amend the NursingAct 1976 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 19TH NOVEMBER, 1979] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may he cited as the Nursing Act Amendment Act 1979. (2) In this Act the Nursing Act1976 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Nursing Act1976-1979. 2. Amendment of s. 31 . Section 31 of the Principal Act is amended by adding at the end of subsection (1) the following paragraph- " Notwithstanding any Act or law to the contrary, if a registered nurse is summarily convicted of an indictable offence the conviction shall, for the purposes of this subsection, be deemed to he a conviction of an indictable offence.".

488 Nursing Act Amendment Act 1979, No. 49 3. Amendment of s. 33. Section 33 of the Principal Act is amended by in subsection (2) inserting after the words " shall be by " the word "way" 4. Amendment of s. 35. Section 35 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) omitting the expression " (1) "; (b) in subparagraph (d) omitting the word "directs;" and substituting the word " directs."; (c) omitting the word " or " where it appears after subparagraph (d); (d) omitting subparagraph (e).
