AN ACT to amend the Nurses Registration Act,

1921-1953.

[Assented to 7th December, 1956.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Nurses Short title

and citation

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Nurses Registration Act, 1922-1956.

2. Section five of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by deleting the passage, "has attained the age of twenty-one years, and" in lines one and two of subsection (3);

(b)

by deleting the words, "attained the age of twenty-one years and has" in lines one and two of subsection (4)";

(c)

by deleting the words, "has attained the age of twenty-one years and" in lines one and two of subsection (5);

(d)

by deleting the words, "attained the age of twenty-one years and has" in lines one and two of subsection (5a);

(e)

by deleting the passage, "attained the age of twenty-one years, has" in lines two and three of subsection (5b);

(f)

by deleting the passage, "attained the age of twenty-one years, has" in line three of the proviso to subsection (5b); and

(g)

by deleting the passage, "has attained the age of twenty-one years," in lines one and two of subsection (5c).
