Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Nurses and Midwives Act 1991.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Nurses and Midwives Regulation 2003 to provide that hands may be cleaned by using non-water cleansers or antiseptics, whether or not washing facilities involving water and a soap or antiseptic are available.
This Regulation is made under the Nurses and Midwives Act 1991, including section 78 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Nurses and Midwives Amendment
Regulation 2006.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 31 March 2006.
3 Amendment of Nurses and Midwives Regulation 2003
The Nurses and Midwives Regulation 2003 is amended as set out in
Schedule 1.
