AN ACT to amend the Nurses Act, 1968-1973.
[Assented to 9th December, 1976.1
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
| 1. (1) This Act may lie cited as the Nurses Act | Short title |

| (2) In this Act the Nurses Act, 1968-1973, is | Act No. 27of 1968 as |
| referred to as the principal Act. | amended byActs Nos. 9 |
| of 1970 and 38 of 1973. |
(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act
may be cited as the Nurses Act, 1968-1976.

| ment. | 2. This Act shall come into operation on a date |
to be fixed by proclamation.
Section 9
| amended. | 3. Subsection (1) of section 9 of the principal |
Act is amended
| (a) | by substituting for the word "fifteen" in line one, the word "seventeen"; |
| (b) | by deleting from line three of paragraph (j), the word "and"; |
| (c) | by substituting for the passage "Associa- tion." in line four of paragraph (k), the passage "Association; and" ; and |
| (d) | by adding after paragraph (k), the follow- ing paragraph |
(1) two persons who are registered as nursing aides and who are practising as such in a hospital at which persons are trained as nursing aides, appointed on the recommendation of the Minister. .
Section 11
| amended. | 4. Subsection (3) of section 11 of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the word "eight" in line one, the word "nine". |
