NURSES ACT 1991—REGULATION

(Relating to infection control standards)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Nurses Act 1991, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Regulation made under the Nurses Act 199 1 published in Gazette No. 74 of 16 June 1995 (at pages 3171–3175) is amended by omitting from clause 1 the matter “7 July 1995” and by inserting instead the matter “8 September 1995”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to delay the commencement of the amendments to the Nurses Regulation 1992 relating to the infection control standards required to be followed by enrolled and registered nurses. Those amendments were to have commenced on 7 July 1995 but will now commence on 8 September 1995.

This Regulation is made under the Nurses Act 1991, including section 78 (the

general regulation making power).
