Nuclear Non-Proliferation (Safeguards) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)
I. THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of
Australia. acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make
the following Regulations under the
Dated 13 September 1990.

1.1 The Nuclear Non-Proliferation (Safeguards) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.
2.1 After regulation 2, insert:
"2a. The international
agreements specified in the Schedule are prescribed for the purposes of
paragraph (b) of the definition of
(S.R. 264/90)—Cat. No. 14/22.8.1990
3.1 Subregulation 3 (1):
Add at the end:
"(g) depleted uranium:
(i) that is not subject to the provisions of a prescribed international agreement; and
(ii) that has been used in the manufacture or assembly of an object that is not being used in nuclear activities.".
4.1 At the end of the Regulations, insert:
