in this present Parlkament assembled, as followa:

1. This Act may be cited for all purposes as " The Northern 8horttitle and

Territory Indian Immigration Amendment Act, 1 890,"

and, except

~ n c O ~ ~ r ~ t i o n.

so far as inconsistent therewith, shall be incorporated and read as one with "The Northern Territory Indian Immigration Act, 1882," hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2, Section 6 of the principal Act is hereby repealed.

Bepeal.

3, The Government Resident of the Northern Territory of the Government ~ ~ i n e n t

said province for the time being shall, ex oficio, be the lm&igration

Agent-General under the principal Act, and shall exercise and r;ienersl. execute all the powers, duties, a id discretions vested in the Immi-

gr ation Agent-General under the principal Act.

4. The Immigration Agent-General shall, from time to time, Copies of reporta to

furnish the Government of India with a duplicate copy of any 80Vemmtmt of India,
