HER,EAS it is expedient and necessary to provide by some Preamble,

W means other than the Government Gazette for the publication	and notification, in that part of the Province of South Australia com-
monly called and known as b & 'She Northern Territory," of certain matters and things required by law to be published and notified in the Government Gazette-Be it tlierefcre dnacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the
said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

Regulation, custom, or usage, dircctcd or required to be published or notificd in thc Government Gazette, shall, within the said Territory, be of the same force and effect as a publication or notifi- cation in the Government Gazette; and shall, so far as affects any rights or liabilities accrued or incurred within the said Territory, be and be deemed for all purposes a full and complete compliance with
the Act, Ordinance, Statute, Law, Regulation, custom, or usage,
directing or requiring such publication or notification.

such newspaper, or is party or privy to the publication in any such newspaper, of any notice purporting to be authorized by the Government Resident, which has not been duly authorized by the said Government Resident, shall on conviction be liable to a pendty of not more thala One vunilred Pounds for every such offence, or to be imprisoned for any period not exceeding gix months.

notified under the authority of the Government Resident, shall be
prima facie evidence in all Courts of Justice that the publication or
notification was duly authorized by such Government Resident.
