Commencement Proclamation

under the

NSW Lotteries (Authorised Transaction) Act 2009 No 60

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the NSW Lotteries (Authorised Transaction) Act 2009, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 April 2010 as the day on which Schedule 5.1 [1]–[13] and [15]–[17] to that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the provisions of the NSW Lotteries (Authorised Transaction) Act 2009 (the Act) that relate to the amendment of the Public Lotteries Act 1996 in respect of licensing the conduct of public lotteries in New South Wales following the transfer of New South Wales Lotteries Corporation assets as authorised under the Act.
