DETERMINATION OF FISHING CAPACITY No. NPFD 02

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority makes the following Determination under section 17(6)(aa) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 and section 7A(1) of the Northern Prawn Fishery Management Plan 1995.

Citation

1.         This Determination may be cited as Determination No. NPFD 02

Commencement and period of application

2.         This Determination commences on 26 March 2005 and ends on 26 March 2010.

Interpretation

3.         A term used in this Determination:

(a)     takes the meaning given to it in the Northern Prawn Fishery Management Plan 1995; or

(b) if no meaning is given to the term in the Northern Prawn Fishery Management Plan 1995, takes the meaning given to that term under the Fisheries Management Act 1991.

Determination of fishing capacity

4.         The total length of operational headrope that may be used under gear statutory fishing rights in the area of the Northern Prawn Fishery for the period set out in clause 2 of this Determination is 3028.725 metres.

Revocation of Direction No NPFGD 01

5.         Direction No NPFGD 01 is revoked, with effect from 26 March 2005.
