An Ordinance to amend the Noxious Weeds Ordinance

BE it ordained by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Seat of
Government Acceptance Act 1909 and the Seat of Government
(Administration) Act 1910, as follows:—
Short title and jl.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Noxious Weeds Ordinance 1922.
(2.) The Noxious Weeds Ordinance 1921 is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.
(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be. referred to as the Noxious Weeds Ordinance 1921-1922.

irive notice to 2. Section 5 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—
destroy noxious
weeds. (a) by adding at the end of sub-section (1) thereof the words ' ' and to keep the land free from noxious weeds for any specified period thereafter ", and
(b) by inserting in sub-section (3), after the words " con- tained therein ", the words " in regard to the noxious weeds then growing on the land, and during the period specified in the notice he shall keep the land free from noxious weeds ".
