| I f by and with the advice, and consent of the Legis lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :— |
1 . (1) This Act may be cited as the “ Noxious Trades short titia
| (Amendment) Act, 1944.” | citation |
| (2) The Noxious Trades Act, 1902, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Noxious Trades Act, 1902-1944. |
2 . The Noxious Trades Act, 1902, as amended bv Araendmentof
| subsequent Acts, is amended by inserting next after i9D2,b | . is. |
subsection two of section sixteen the following new (®'suutions.>
subsection:—
(2a) Math out prejudice to the generality of sub section one of this section the Governor may, on the recommendation of the Board, make regulations—
| (a) | regulating and controlling tlie slaughter of animals on premises licensed under this Act, prescribing the methods to be adopted in the slaughter of such animals, and prohibit ing the slaughter thereof otherwise than in accordance with the prescribed methods; |
| ■ | (b) | prescribing the times at which and the conditions under which cattle may be slaughtered on premises licensed under this Act, requiring the inspection of the car cases of cattle on such premises (whether or not the same were slaughtered thereon), and prescribing the manner in which or the methods by which the whole or any part of the carcases of any such cattle which are found to be diseased, shall or shall not be disposed of; |
| (c) | prescribing the circumstances in which, and the conditions under or subject to which, any person may or may not remove, or the person holding a license in respect of the premises may or may not remove or cause, permit or suffer to be removed, from pre mises upon which any noxious trade is being carried on, the carcass or any part of |

| No. 9, J944. | t]ie carcass of a n y animal {whether or not the same was slaiiglitercd on sucli pre mises) or any substance, product or com modity derived or niannfaetnred in or on such premises from tlm carcass or part of the carcass of any animal. |
Such regulations may be made to apply to and in respect of any premises or class of premises, and may make diti'erent provisions with respect to pre mises upon which different classes of noxious trades are carried on.
Any regnlation made under the authority of this subsection may impose a penalty not exceeding one liundred pounds or imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or both such penalty and im prisonment for any breacli of the regulations, and may also provide that where such breach is committed ])y a person registered or holding a license under this Act, the court imposing the penalty may direct that such registration or license bo cancelled.
