NOTICE OF RESERVATION OF CAPACITY FOR COMMUNITY

BROADCASTING TELEVISION SERVICES (No. 1 of 1999)

I, RICHARD KENNETH ROBERT ALSTON, Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, acting under subsection 31(1) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992:

(a)revoke the Notice of Reservation of Broadcasting Spectrum Capacity for National or Community Broadcasters Under Subsection 31(1) dated 17 March 1994; and

(b)notify the Australian Broadcasting Authority that capacity in the broadcasting services bands is to be reserved for one community broadcasting service that provides television programs in each of the following cities or towns:

(i)Sydney;

(ii)Melbourne;

(iii)Brisbane;

(iv)Adelaide;

(v)Perth;

(vi)Hobart;

(vii)Bendigo;

(viii)Lismore.
