Notice of Final Determination

under the

Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995

The Scientific Committee established under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 has
made a final determination to insert the species referred to in paragraph (a) as an endangered
species under that Act, and, as a consequence, to omit reference to that species as a vulnerable

species and, accordingly:

(a) Schedule 1 to that Act is amended by inserting the following in Part 1 after the matter relating to Cheloniidae (under the headings Animals and Reptiles):

Chelidae

* Myuchelys bellii (Gray, 1844) Western Sawshelled Turtle, Bell’s Turtle
(b)	Schedule 2 to that Act is amended by omitting the following from Part 1 (under the headings Animals and Reptiles):

Chelidae

* Myuchelys bellii (Gray, 1844) Bell’s Turtle, Western Sawshelled Turtle

This Notice commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.
