Notice of Final Determination

under the

Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995

The Scientific Committee established under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 has
made a final determination to insert the species referred to in paragraph (a) as a species presumed
extinct under that Act and, as a consequence, to omit a reference to that species as an endangered

species and, accordingly, Schedule 1 to that Act is amended:

(a) by omitting from Part 1 under the heading “Birds”:

Estrildidae

* Poephila cincta cincta (Gould, 1837) Black-throated Finch (southern subspecies)
(b)	by inserting in alphabetical order in Part 4 in the matter relating to Estrildidae under the heading “Birds”:
* Poephila cincta cincta (Gould, 1837) Black-throated Finch (southern subspecies)

This Notice commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.
