Notice of Final Determination

under the

Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995

The Scientific Committee established under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 has made a final determination to insert the species referred to in paragraph (a) as critically endangered species under that Act, and, as a consequence, to omit references to those species as endangered species and, accordingly:

(a) Schedule 1A to that Act is amended by inserting in Part 1 after the matter under the heading “Psittacidae” (under the heading “Birds”):

Maluridae

* Amytornis textilis modestus Thick-billed Grasswren (eastern

(North, 1902) subspecies)

Pachycephalidae

* Pachycephala rufogularis Red-lored Whistler

(Gould, 1841)

(b)	Schedule 1 to that Act is amended as follows:
(i) Omit from Part 1 under the heading “Maluridae” (under the heading “Birds”):
* Amytornis textilis modestus Thick-billed Grasswren (eastern

(North, 1902) subspecies)

(ii)      Omit from Part 1 (under the heading “Birds”):

Pachycephalidae

* Pachycephala rufogularis Red-lored Whistler

(Gould, 1841)
