Notice of Determination

under the

Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995

The Scientific Committee established under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 (the Act) has determined to amend the descriptions of the species referred to in paragraphs (a) and (b) below pursuant to section 36A (1) (a) of the Act (being amendments that are necessary or desirable to reflect changes in the name of species, or a reclassification of any such species into further species, as a result of taxonomic revision).

(a) Schedule 2 to the Act is amended by omitting the following from Part 1 under the heading “Pardalotidae” (under the headings “Animals”, “Vertebrates” and “Birds”):

Calamanthus fuliginosus (Vigors &	Striated Fieldwren
Horsfield, 1827)

(b) Schedule 2 to the Act is amended by inserting the following in Part 1 before the heading “Meliphagidae” (under the headings “Animals”, “Vertebrates” and “Birds”):

Acanthizidae

Calamanthus fuliginosus (Vigors &	Striated Fieldwren
Horsfield, 1827) sensu stricto
Calamanthus campestris (Gould, 1841)	Rufous Fieldwren
