Notice adjusting description of lands

under the

National Park Estate (Reservations) Act 2003

I, the Director-General of the Department of Environment and Conservation, with the approval of the Minister administering the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974 and the Minister administering the Forestry Act 1916, and pursuant to section 9 of the National Park Estate (Reservations) Act 2003, adjust the description of lands in Schedules 1–4 of that Act by amending those Schedules as set out in Schedule 1 to this notice.

I certify that the adjustments effected by this notice will not result in any significant reduction in the size or value of national park estate land or State forest land.

5      Additions to Chaelundi National Park

(1) An area of about 502 hectares, being part of Ellis State Forest No 831, within the land shown by the pink tint on the map catalogued MISC R 00246 (5th edition) in the Department of Environment and Conservation, and named “Chaelundi National Park Addition” on the face of that map, subject to any variations or exceptions noted on that map.

(1) An area of about 1,449 hectares, being part of Buckra Bendinni State Forest No 471, within the land shown by the light blue tint on the map catalogued MISC R 00248 (5th edition) in the Department of Environment and Conservation, and named “Gumbaynggirr State Conservation Area” on the face of that map, subject to any variations or exceptions noted on that map.
