NORTHERN TERRITORY REPRESENTATION.
An Act to amend section five of the
[Assented to 1st December, 1936.]
BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
1. —(1.) This Act may be cited as theNorthern Territory Representation Act 1936.
(2.) The
2. Section five of theNorthern Territory Representation Act 1922-1925 is amended—(
а ) by inserting in sub-section (1.), before the words “The member”, the words “Subject to the next succeeding sub-section,”; and(
b ) by inserting after sub-section (1.) the following sub-section:—“(1a.) The member representing the Northern Territory may vote on any motion for the disallowance of any Ordinance of the Northern Territory and on any amendment of any such motion.”.
