STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE NORTHERN TERRITORY (ADMINISTRATION) ACT 1910-1947.*
I,
THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendments of the Northern Territory Legislative Council (Fees and Expenses) Regulations.
“1a. In these Regulations, ‘ meeting ’ means a meeting of the Council or of a Select Committee appointed by the Council.”.
(
a )by omitting the words “ Three pounds three shillings ” and inserting in their stead the words “ Four pounds four shillings ”;(
b ) by omitting the words “of the Council” (second occurring); and(
c ) by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation :—“ (2.) An elected member of the Council shall be paid a fee of Four pounds four shillings for any day (not being a day for which a fee is payable to him under the last preceding sub-regulation) upon which he leaves home before midday to attend a meeting or returns home after midday after attending a meeting.”.
(
a )by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words “ One pound ten shillings ” and inserting in their stead the words “ Two pounds ”;(
b ) by omitting from that sub-regulation the words “ travelling to Darwin to attend ” and inserting in their stead the words “ his attendance at ”; and(
c ) by omitting from that sub-regulation the words “ of the Council ” (second and third occurring).
