NORTHERN TERRITORY LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL (FEES AND EXPENSES) REGULATIONS.(b)

Statutory Rules 1951, No. 98.(c)

Fees of elected members of Council.

1. Sub-regulation (2.) of regulation 2 of the Northern Territory Legislative Council (Fees and Expenses) Regulations is repealed and the following sub-regulation inserted in its stead :—

“ (2.) For the purposes of the last preceding sub-regulation, each day upon which an elected member of the Council is necessarily absent from his home for the purpose of attending, or as the result of having attended, a meeting except a day upon which he leaves home after midday or returns home before midday shall be deemed to be a day upon which he attends a meeting.”.

Commencement.

2. Regulation 1 of these Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the thirtieth clay of November, 1948.
