Northern Territory Electoral Districts Regulations (Cth)
REGULATIONS UNDER THE NORTHERN TERRITORY (ADMINISTRATION) ACT 1910.*
WHEREAS
by sub-section 4c (1) of the
AND WHEREAS by sub-section 4 (2) of that Act it is provided that the Legislative Assembly shall consist of 19 members:
AND WHEREAS by sub-section 4ca (1) of that Act it is provided that the boundaries of each Electoral District shall be as prescribed, after report to the Minister by a Distribution Committee appointed under section 4cc of that Act:
AND WHEREAS the Minister has, in pursuance of section 4cb of that Act, directed that a distribution of the Territory into Electoral Districts be made:
AND WHEREAS the Distribution Committee appointed under section 4cc of that Act has forwarded to the Minister a report in accordance with section 4ch of that Act:
NOW THEREFORE I, the
Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of
the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the

NORTHERN TERRITORY ELECTORAL DISTRICTS REGULATIONS
*
Notified in the
“ Central Australia Railway ” means the railway between Maree and Alice Springs;
“ Northern Australia Railway ” means the railway between Darwin and Birdum;
“ Reserve ” means land described in a proclamation under section 103 of the
Crown Lands Ordinance 1931 of the Territory or that Ordinance as amended from time to lime, being a proclamation—
(a) reserving that land for any purpose; and
(b) that is in force at the commencement of these Regulations;
“ stock route ” means a stock route within the meaning of the
Stock Routes and Travelling Stock Ordinance 1954 of the Territory or that Ordinance as amended from time to time;“ Tanami Commonage ” means the land, reserved for commonage purposes by the Governor of the State of South Australia by Proclamation dated 27 October 1909, made under the Northern Territory Crown Lands Act 1890 of that State and published in the South Australian Government Gazette on 4 November 1909;
“ Tanami Desert Wildlife Sanctuary ” means the land in the Tanami Desert Sanctuary described in the Third Schedule to the
Wildlife Conservation and Control Ordinance 1962 of the Territory or that Ordinance as amended from time to time;“ the Ac t” means the
Northern Territory (Administration )Act 1910.
(2) In these Regulations, a reference to a Pastoral Lease by number shall be read as a reference to the pastoral lease so numbered granted under a law in force in the Territory.
(a) the Electoral Districts referred to in that section shall be known by the names specified in the Schedule; and
(b) the boundaries of each of those Electoral Districts are the boundaries respectively described in the Schedule in relation to that Electoral District.

ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF ALICE SPRINGS
