An Act to provide far the Leasing of the No~tlr Parade, at Port

Adelaide.

HEREAS it is desirable to enable the Governor to Lease the Preamble.

W North Parade-Be it therefore Xnacted, by the Governor-in-

Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the

mid Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. It shall be lawful for the Governor, in the name

behalf of Her Majesty, from time to time, to demise for any term not pardde,

grant leases of North

exceeding twenty-one years, in possession, any portion of the public reserve at Port Adelaide, known as the North Parade, and all leases

to be made under the power herein contained, shall be of such

portion or portions of the said public reserve, for such term not exceeding the term of twenty-one years as aforesaid, at such rent, to

such person or persons, and generally up on such terms, covenants,

and conditions as the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, may determine: Provided that such leases shall be granted only to the person who shall be declared the purchaser of

the same at public auction, and of the time and place of such

auction, not less than one, nor more than six calendar months notice

shall have been given in the Government Gazette.

2. The rents to be received un'der any such lease shall be paid to Rent8 how to IM Q.

yended upon such works as may from time to time be necessary or expedient for the. deepening and general improvement of the

Port of Adelaide.
