Norfolk Island (Exercise of Powers) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Norfolk Island Act 1979.

Regulation 2 of the Norfolk Island (Exercise of Powers) Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:

Alteration of Item 42 in Schedule 2 to the Norfolk Island Act 1979

“2. Item 42 in Schedule 2 to the Norfolk Island Act 1979 is altered by omitting all the words after ‘force’ and substituting ‘in the Territory other than any matter—

(a) that relates to immigration or the operation of the Immigration Act 1980 of the Territory; or

(b) that relates to social service benefits in so far as a duty, power, function or authority isexpressly imposed or conferred on the Administrator or the Minister in relation to that matter.’.”.
