1 Name
This is the Norfolk Island Appropriation Ordinance 2015‑2016.
3 Authority
This Ordinance is made under the Norfolk Island Act 1979.
4 Authority for expenditure
Subject to this Ordinance, the Administration may, during the period of 12 months ending on 30 June 2016, expend money out of the Public Account of Norfolk Island for the purposes, and in the amounts, specified in Schedule 1.
5 Powers of Administrator
The Administrator may, subject to any instructions given by the responsible Commonwealth Minister, do such things, and give such directions, as are necessary or convenient for the purposes of ensuring that expenditure authorised by this Ordinance is duly made.

Editorial changes
The Legislation Act 2003 authorises First Parliamentary Counsel to make editorial and presentational changes to a compiled law in preparing a compilation of the law for registration. The changes must not change the effect of the law. Editorial changes take effect from the compilation registration date.

Misdescribed amendments
A misdescribed amendment is an amendment that does not accurately describe the amendment to be made. If, despite the misdescription, the amendment can be given effect as intended, the amendment is incorporated into the compiled law and the abbreviation “(md)” added to the details of the amendment included in the amendment history.
If a misdescribed amendment cannot be given effect as intended, the abbreviation “(md not incorp)” is added to the details of the amendment included in the amendment history.
