No 23—PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) ANTHONY MURRAY GLEESON, A.C., Lieutenant-Governor.

I, the Honourable A. M. Gleeson, Lieutenant-Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Non-Indigenous Animals Amendment Act 1996, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 1997 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Non-Indigenous Animals Amendment Act 1996, being provisions primarily concerned with the classification of animals for the purposes of the Non-Indigenous Animals Act 1987.
