NON-INDIGENOUS ANIMALS AMENDMENT ACT 1996

No 23—PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) G. SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Non-Indigenous Animals Amendment Act 1996, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 25 October 1996 as the day on which sections 1–3 and Schedule 1 [17] and [18] of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to commence so much of the Non-Indigenous Animals Amendment Act 1996 as inserts savings and transitional provisions and confers a power to delegate on the Minister for Agriculture and the Director-General of the Department of Agriculture.

This proclamation is made under section 2 of that Act.
