HAYNE J:   The applicant seeks special leave to appeal against orders of the Court of Appeal of Victoria made on 11 June 2004 refusing leave to appeal against orders made by a single judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria, on an appeal to that Court, on questions of law said to arise from an arbitration conducted in the Magistrates’ Court.

There is no reason to doubt the correctness of the conclusions reached by the Court of Appeal.

The respondent submits to the jurisdiction of the Court and makes no application for its costs.

Pursuant to rule 41.11.1 we direct the Registrar to draw up, sign and seal an order dismissing the application.  I publish that disposition.

AT 9.36 AM THE MATTER WAS CONCLUDED
