An Act to make certain provisions relating to the transfer to the office of the Registrar- General and the recording therein of certain memorials pertaining to the Newcastle Tattersall’s Club; to amend the Newcastle Tattersall’s Club Act of 1945; to validate certain matters; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 2nd August, 1956.]

by and witli the advice and consent of the Legis­ lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South

Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the “ Newcastle short title

Tattersall’s Club (Amendment) Act, 195G.”

(2) The Newcastle Tattersall’s Club Act of .1945, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Newcastle Tattersall’s Club Act, 1945-1956.

2 . The Newcastle Tattersall’s Club Act of 1945 is Ameuament

(a) (i) bj’ omitting from section ten the words sec.lH.

“ Supreme Court of New South Wales” (Vcmoiiai

where secondly occurring and by inserting [“(.orjea.)

in lieu thereof the ivords “ office of the

Eegistrar-Gcneral in Sydney” ;

(ii)  by inserting at the end of the same seel ion the following new’ subsection:—

(2) (a) All such memorials recorded in the Supreme Court of New South Wales before the commencement of the Eew’- castle Tattersall’s Club (Amendment)

Act,

12 Second-hand Motor Dealers Act.

Ko. 4, 1956.

Act, 1956, shall be transferred to the

office of the Kegistrar-General in Sydney, and the Eegistrar-General shall take possession of the same.

(b) The memorials so transferred shall continue to have the same effect as they would have had if the Newcastle Tattersall’s Club (Amendment) Act, 1956, had not been passed.

3 . Any action taken before the commencement of this Act which would have been lawful had section two of this Act been in operation at the time when the action was taken is hereby validated.
