An Act to authorize the Enclosure of a part of

New-street in the Town of Parramatta.

Preamble.

HEEEAS it is expedient that a certain portion hereinafter Town of Parramatta should he stopped as a public highway and be enclosed 'with and form part of the block or blocks of land in the said Town reserved for Gaol purposes Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows:—

The portion of New- 1 . That it shall he lawful for the Surveyor General to cause to be

enclosed. land SO as to unite the parts thereof now separated by the said street

all that part of the said road or street in the said Town known as New-street situate and lying between the several points or places whereat the said street or part thereof is intersected by the streets known as Dunlop and Barney Streets And that from and after the enclosure thereof as aforesaid the right of way hitherto enjoyed by the public over the said portion of the said street shall be extinguished and such portion so enclosed shall free and clear of such right of way form and be and be enjoyed and used by Her Majesty Her Heirs and Successors as part of the said block or blocks of land in the said Town so reserved as aforesaid.
