An Act to amend the New South Wales Film Corporation Act, 1977, to empower the Minister to appoint certain commissions of inquiry, and for certain other purposes. [Assented to. 21st December, 1982.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the "New South Wales Film Corporation
(Amendment) Act, 1982".
Amendment of Act No. 55, 1977.
2. The New South Wales Film Corporation Act, 1977, is amended in
the manner set forth in Schedule 1.

(b) in any circumstances appearing to him to warrant the ap- pointment of a commission of inquiry,
appoint a commission of inquiry to inquire into any specified matters concerning the financing of films, the promotion of the financing of films, the production, distribution or exhibition of films or any other aspect of the film industry in New South Wales.
(2) A commission of inquiry appointed under subsection (1) shall consist of not fewer than 3 members and not more than 5 members.
(3) The chairman—
(a) shall be appointed as a member; and
(b) shall be the chairman,
of any commission of inquiry.
(4) Subject to any directions given by the Minister, the manner in which an inquiry is conducted by a commission of in- quiry shall be as determined by the commission.
(5) A member of a commission of inquiry is entitled to be
paid such remuneration (including travelling and subsistence allow-ances), if any, as the Minister may from time to time determine in
respect of him.
