Navigation (Survey) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 26 January 1982.

Prescribed periods for parts of ships not subject to annual survey

2. Regulation 10 of the Navigation (Survey) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (1) (a) "registered in Australia or is engaged in the coasting trade" and substituting "a ship to which Part II of the Act applies"; and

(b) by omitting from paragraph (1) (b) "registered in Australia or engaged in the coasting trade" and substituting "to which Part II of the Act applies".

Period for which certificate of survey, passenger certificate or certificate of equipment remains in force

3. Regulation 32 of the Navigation (Survey) Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (2) (a) "registered in Australia or engaged in the coasting trade" and substituting "to which Part II of the Act applies".

First Schedule

4. The First Schedule to the Navigation (Survey) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from Forms 1, 17 and 18 "Port of Registry" and substituting "Home Port or Port of Registry";

• (b) by omitting from Forms 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 "Port of registry" and substituting "Home

   port or Port of registry"; and

(c) by omitting from Form 6 "Port of registry" and substituting "Home port (or Port of registry)".
