REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVIGATION ACT 1912-1942.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912-1942.

Amendments of the Navigation (Passengers) Regulations.  

Return of passengers—oversea ships.

1. Regulation 11 of the Navigation (Passengers) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulations (1.) and (2.) the word “ duplicate ” (wherever occurring) inserting in its stead the word “ triplicate ”.

The Schedule.

2. The Schedule to the Navigation (Passengers) Regulations is amended by omitting Form P.—1 and Form P.—2 and inserting in their stead the following forms:—

*NOTE.─The list of names above should ─

(a) Include the names of children who were born during the voyage;

(b) Exclude the names of passengers who died during the voyage;

(c) Include the names of all passengers who do not intend disembarking in Australia. These names are to be shown separately at the end of the list.

I further certify that,  except as set out in Health Reports furnished under the Quarantine Act 1908-1947, the above-mentioned passengers to be landed at this Port do not include any person who is insane, idiotic, deaf and dumb, blind, infirm, or destitute, or who is suffering from any infectious or contagious disease of a loathsome or dangerous character, and that none of such passengers has, during the voyage, shown any signs of mental peculiarity or of helplessness.
