Navigation (Master and Seamen) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice 6f the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 26 January 1982.

General Register of Seamen

2. Regulation 4 of the Navigation (Master and Seamen) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) "British ship at a port in Australia or a ship registered in Australia at any port" and substituting "ship to which Part II of the Act applies".

Entries relating to births, deaths, &c., in log-book

3. Regulation 25 of the Navigation (Master and Seamen) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) "paragraphs 417 (1) (d) and 417 (2) (b)" and substituting "paragraph 417 (1) (d)".

Schedule 2

4. Schedule 2 to the Navigation (Master and Seamen) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from Forms 4, 5, 7, 11, 12 and 14 "Port of Registry" and substituting "Home Port"; and

(b) by omitting from Form 13 "sub-section 417 (2)".
