Navigation (Master and Seamen) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912.

Commencement

1. (1) Regulations 3, 4 and 5 shall come into operation on 1 September 1986.

(2) Regulation 6 shall come into operation on 1 October 1986.

Principal Regulations

2. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Navigation (Master and Seamen) Regulations.

Agreement under section 46 of the Act

3. Regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "and sub-section 115 (1)".

Repeal of regulations 15, 16 and 17

4. Regulations 15, 16 and 17 of the Principal Regulations are repealed.

Schedule 2

5. Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from Form 3—

"Regulations 7 and 17

Sections 46 and 115"

and substituting—

"Regulation 7"; and

(b) by omitting from Part II of Form 3 paragraph 7 and the table.

6. The Principal Regulations are amended as set out in the following table:
