Navigation (Manning) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912.

Plan of ship to be furnished

1. Regulation 8 of the Navigation (Manning) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting paragraphs (1) (a) and (1) (b) and substituting the following paragraphs:

"(a) for the construction, alteration or reconstruction of a ship that, it is intended, will be a ship to which Part II of the Act applies; or

(b) for the alteration or reconstruction of a ship to which that Part applies,"; and

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (2) all the words from and including "Where a ship" to and including "coasting trade," and substituting "Where a ship is to be imported into Australia, being a ship to which Part II of the Act will apply,".

Commencement

2. Regulation 1 shall come into operation on 26 January 1982.
