REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVIGATION ACT 1912-1926.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912-1926, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of the Navigation (Manning and Accommodation) Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1926, No. 152, as amended by Statutory Rules 1927, No. 55; 1928, No. 54; 1930, No. 95, and 1933, Nos. 32 and 55.)

1. Regulation 9 of the Navigation (Manning and Accommodation) Regulations is amended by inserting the following entries in the appropriate columns of the table therein, immediately below the entry relating to the ship Makambo:

2. Regulation 10 of the Navigation (Manning and Accommodation) Regulations is amended by inserting the following entries in the appropriate columns of the table in sub-regulation (2.) immediately above the entry relating to the ship Gabriella:

“Abel Tasman....................

Melbourne.....

While trading between New Zealand and ports on the Australian coast (including the coast of Tasmania) between Cairns, in the State of Queensland, as the most northerly port, and the most westerly port in Spencer’s Gulf, in the State of South Australia, and subject to the condition that at least twelve spare wooden hatches, all of a size equal to the largest hatch cover used on the ship, shall be carried on board whenever she leaves port.”
